Instant Pot Applesauce
INGREDIENTS:
8 medium sized apples, peeled, cored and roughly chopped
3/4 cup water
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3 tablespoons coconut sugar or maple syrup (optional) - add more if you like a sweeter applesauce
INSTRUCTIONS:
Add water, lemon juice, cinnamon and coconut sugar (optional) to instant pot. Stir to combine.
Add apples to instant pot and toss to coat.
Secure lid of instant pot and set valve to “sealing.”
Pressure cook on high for 8 minutes. Once complete, carefully switch valve to “venting” to manually release pressure.
Stir applesauce and serve. If there are still large chunks of apples use an immersion blender or masher to mix.
Store in airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
